Cyberbullying is another form of cybercrime that uses modern digital communication technologies to persistently harass, humiliate and intimidate its victims online. Cyberbullying is a term that has appeared in the Polish language relatively recently. Its name derives from the English words "cyber" referring to cybertechnology and "bullyuing" meaning harassment or bullying. The most common forms of cyberbullying are false and manipulated comments published online and fake websites aimed at damaging the image of individuals or institutions. Other forms of cyberbullying include provoking conflicts online, inciting hate speech, publishing false and manipulated information about victims, often using aggressive language and previously stolen personal information and photos.

At this point, it is worth emphasizing that the hallmark of this type of criminal activity is the illusory sense of anonymity of its perpetrators, who use modern Internet technologies to hide their identities for fear of law enforcement. The perpetrators of cyberbullying are most often people with lowered self-esteem, complacent, jealous, who, getting carried away with their failures in life, try to destroy the image of others, often successful people, people who are well-known and respected, but not only. Cyberbullying is also increasingly becoming a profitable tool in the hands of specialized criminal groups who, for the money of their principals, engage in destroying reputations, misinformation and attacking individuals and companies online.
